Goa International Airport has been brightly illuminated in tri-colour for January 25 and 26, in view of the Republic Day.
More than 40,000 sq ft is illuminated by Upendra Pai Raikar of
Conquer Events.
When contacted, Panaji-based Raikar said that the entire set up for the illumination took two days .
“We have done the illumination and set up a program that will keep the illumination for two days on January 25 and 26. We have done similar set ups for Christmas and New year as well. The set up consists of 7 lights and each light has a capacity of 650 watts. The set up took two days and it took a bit long to set up the program for the illuimination,” Raikar sai.
“I want to thank the Airport Authority of India and Fermium Construction LLP, who looks into the maintenance and renovation works for the Goa International Airport for trusting and giving a local entrepreneur an opportunity to showcase his talent. Earlier non Goans would get maximun contracts in different sectors across Goa and this time the AAI and Fermium Construction LLP have given an opportunity to a Goan,”
Raikar said.
