Explaining the aim of the workshop at a press conference, CSR head Adv Darshana Prabhudessai, informed that the workshop will train high school girls - particularly those from Std VIII-X - so as to create awareness of the laws relating to protection of women and various kinds of offences pertaining to women. "While the first half of this workshop deals with eve-teasing, the rest deals with the offence of rape," Adv Prabhudessai added. She claimed that the workshop also aims to spread legal awareness among the girls so that they are aware of the remedies / solutions available for the protection of women. "This workshop also contains practical demonstrations of various basic self-defence techniques on how the girls can escape to save themselves when their safety is threatened," Adv Prabhudesai said. The workshops will be conducted in co-ordination with the DoE.
