Demands for stringent action against accused

MARGAO
As the rape and murder of the five-year-old girl has sent shock waves across the State, the Congress party has blamed the BJP for converting Goa into a crime destination.

Demanding stringent punishment to the criminals, GPCC chief Amit Patkar said, “This is shocking. My heartfelt sympathies to the family of the innocent girl child who lost her life. Goa has become a crime destination with complete collapse of law and order. I demand stringent action on all the criminals,” Patkar demanded.

Reacting to the incident of rape and murder of a girl child at Dabolim, Congress blamed BJP for encouraging criminal mafia in Goa.

Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao said criminals are having a free run in Goa under BJP government. “My condolences to the family of the innocent girl child. I demand stringent punishment to all those involved in this heinous crime,” he said.

“Another innocent life is lost due to complete failure of the law enforcing authorities. Criminals have lost fear of police. My heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the family of the victim girl child. All those involved should face stringent punishment, demanded Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa.

While conveying his sympathies to the family of the five-year-old girl, Capt Viriato Fernandes said this is failure of insensitive, irresponsible BJP government which has failed to provide security to citizens. Criminals have no fear of law enforcing authorities, he said.

Adv Ramakant Khalap said rape and murder of the innocent girl child once again has exposed the failure of the BJP government to provide safety and security to citizens.
