Documents at the Ozarim panchayat office are reported to have been set ablaze on Monday night.In a complaint on Tuesday, the Ozarim Panchayat Secretary Pravin Parab stated that someone trespassed into the village panchayat office by breaking open the main door lock sometime between 5.30 pm on Monday and 9.30 am on Tuesday and set fire to public documents like the cash book, work files, receipt book, voucher files, audit files, bank statements and audit inspection records of the year 2018-2019 to 2021-2022 etc.
Pernem police has registered offences under Sections 454, 457, 436 IPC and Section 3 of PDPP Act and LPSI Sumedha Naik is investigating the case.
