Assistant District Education Inspector (ADEI) Mormugao, Valsala Vishwambaran, along with other local residents on Tuesday appealed to parents and students not to fall prey to fake messages circulated on WhatsApp about SSC seating arrangements in Vasco.
According to locals, a message depicting a write up of a local newspaper has begun circulating on social media giving details of the seating arrangements and school names with seat numbers for seating arrangements for SSC exams in Vasco.
When contacted the ADEI, Vishwambaran said the news was false. “We have confirmed with the Goa Board and also the Chief Conductor of SSC examination about the news being circulated on WhatsApp. The seating arrangements are wrong and fake. I appeal all to kindly depend only on information given on Goa Board website and in case of any query, to meet the chief conductor of SSC examinations, Alvito Fernandes who is also the headmaster of St Joseph Institute,” said
Vishwambaran.
Meanwhile, a local resident and general secretary of Vasco Congress block President Ularico Rodrigues had appealed to people not to forward such messages as it could affect SSC students. “Students have worked hard and are set to appear for exams in April. Such messages could be misguiding and cause nervousness at the last moment.
Taking cognizance of the wrong information, Chief Conductor of SSC exams in Vasco, Alvito Fernandes gave out details of the correct seating arrangements for the SSC examination to be held in April 2019.
