Vice Dean of the School of Chemical Sciences at Goa University, Dr Sunder Dhuri, has been appointed as the University’s new registrar.
The post became vacant after the former registrar, VS Nadkarni, in a letter to Chancellor Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai, requested to be relieved of the post on personal grounds.
Nadkarni had taken charge in November 2021 after the then registrar, Y V Reddy, resigned from the post in September 2020.
A native of Sattari taluka, Dr Sunder Dhuri was the academic Vice Dean of the School of Chemical Sciences.
On November 15, 2024, GU called for applications for the post of registrar.
Dr Dhuri was appointed by the Selection Committee headed by Vice Chancellor Harilal Menon.
