The Fatorda police have arrested the driver of the BMW car which had hit a police vehicle while performing a stunt at the SGPDA grounds on Sunday night.
The police have also attached the car as part of the investigation.
Fatorda police informed that the car driver, a native of Kudal, Maharashtra, Bhupendra Parkar, has been arrested in the case.
To a question on action initiated against the event management company which had organised the event, Fatorda police said they have already registered an offence against the organisers for conducting the event without proper barricading of the site.
The Fatorda police had registered an FIR against the BMW car driver as well as the event organisers after the car dashed into a police vehicle while performing a stunt at the SGPDA ground, Margao, late on Sunday night before fleeing the spot.
The police have also charged the event organisers for failing to install necessary barricades around the venue, thereby compromising the safety of those present.
