MAPUSA:
Anjuna police seized 1.22 grams of LSD papers worth Rs 9.7 lakh following a raid at Munangwada-Assagao on Friday evening. A 35-year-old man from Thane-Maharashtra has been arrested in this connection.
According to reports, a police team conducted a raid at about 5.35 pm based on specific and credible information that a drug deal was going on near the football ground in Munangwada.
Police nabbed the suspect, Abhishek Singh, and allegedly found 1.22 gms of LSD papers valued at Rs 9.7 lakh hidden in a bag which was in his possession.
Singh was arrested in this connection and a Mapusa court on Saturday remanded him to four-day police custody.
