In an interesting development, Director of Education Shailesh Zingde has appointed a Drawing and disbursing officer of all the schools that are managed by the Society of Anjuman Islahul Muslameen.
The Director has made the appointment as per the provision of the Goa School Education Act 1984 and Goa School Education Rules 1986 with immediate effect.
The development comes in the wake of the Inspector General of Society/District Registrar (South) issuing an order restraining the both the parties from functioning as the management committee of the Anjuman Islahul Muslameen society.
The Inspector General of Society/District Registrar had on September 11 passed the order directing the two parties not to do any acts or represent the society in any manner, including any financial and administrative transactions till the next date of hearing of the claims and counter claims scheduled on October 14.
Sources in the know informed that the Anjuman Islahul Muslameen Society runs around five educational institutions, the Aim Higher Secondary School; Aim English Medium High School; AIM Salcete High School; Aim Konkani Primary School and UMTM Primary School.
