Sandip Falari, executive member of the BJP, recently spoke against his party leader, Mapusa MLA Joshua D’souza asserting that "the writing is on the wall - Mapusa wants change". Reacting to this, AAP Goa Convenor Rahul Mhambre, who is leading the AAP campaign in Mapusa, stated even BJP admits now that Joshua has failed Mapusa.
Mhambre claimed Mapusa and Mhapsekars are yearning for a change from the corruption and misgovernance that has engulfed Mapusa, stated a press release.
He said, "While the city and its residents have gone from a bad to a worse state with no amenities, only the councillors have prospered these years".
The release further stated that AAP has intensified its door-to-door campaigning and Parivartan Yatra in Mapusa ahead of the elections and they have been receiving overwhelming response from the people.
Mhambre said, "It has become clear for us over the past few days that Mapusa is eager for a change than ever before. Mapusa this time is looking a change in the incumbent MLA, a message which is reverberatingly clear and visible across all segments of the population".
Mhambre said, "The recent remark of Falari indicates that now everyone is getting an idea of Mhapsekars's desire and their intentions. But it's late now as Mapusa people have already decided to give a chance to fresh face and a new party. They have seen both the national parties destroying Mapusa".
