PANAJI
FDA Goa in association with state-of-the-art Price Monitoring and resource unit, an arm of National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority, under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Govt of India, situated at FDA conducted a one-day awareness programme on the availability, accessibility and affordability of essential medicines at Panaji on January 24.
The programme was inaugurated by Secretary Health, Arun Kumar Mishra, IAS in the presence of Director FDA Jyoti Sardesai, Dy Director NPPA Saurabh Bansal and Dr Priti Tagade, Project coordinator, MP PMRU, Dr Khullar President GPMA, Dr GK Rao, Principal Goa College of Pharmacy and Prasad Tamba, secretary CDAG.
The programme was well attended by all stakeholders from the Pharma Industry, Pharma trade and both the Pharmacy Colleges and officials of FDA.
Saurabh Bansal Dy Director NPPA spoke on the overview of Drugs Price Control order and functioning of NPPA while Dr Priti Tagade spoke on the topic of 3As of essential medicines.
The officials of FDA who had done excellent humanitarian and selfless professional services during Covid-19 were felicitated at the hands of the Chief Guest.
Project coordinator of Goa PMRU Sarita Bhonsle was felicitated for obtaining PhD degree. An elocution competition on the topic of Affordable Medicines was held on the occasion.
