Federation 10 of Giants Welfare Foundation holds award function

The awardees at the function along with State BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanwade and others.

Giants Welfare Foundation organised an award function on October 8 in the Fiesta Hall of Gasper Dias club at Miramar.
The Foundation stands for its sole purpose and objective of serving humanity and has undertaken in recognising the achievers of society despite the odds played against them.
In all 6 achievers were awarded and felicitated at the hands of Chief Guest Sadanand Shet Tanwade, State BJP President who lauded the Federation 10 of Giants Welfare Foundation, an Indian-origin NGO, spread across the world, unlike other Clubs.
Tanavade also suggested that the good deeds done by Giants should be given wide publicity.
The awardees include: Manguesh Kuttikar, who despite being handicapped and was dejected by a swimming coach, fought back and went on to achieve medals not only for the State but National and International too.
Dr Ramesh Gaonkar, who evolved teaching methods and helped students achieve their doctorates.
Dr Shantarm Borkar, a cardiac surgeon, brought up the Cardiac department of GMC to the next level and patients have stopped going outside Goa.
Samiksha Bhobe-Kakodkar who earned many laurels for hwe music at a young age.
Vincent Ramos, who overcame all the odds to become Chief manager of Vivantas under Taj group of hotels.
And finally, a person responsible for saving reptiles from being killed in Goa by creating awareness amongst the general public.
The function was graced by Norooddin Sevavala, Deputy world Chairman of Giants Welfare Foundation, Mumbai. The programme was welcomed by Basvaraj Pujari, President of Federation-10, Goa.
