In a shocking incident, the feet of an infant were found in a residential area at Tari Vaddo-Mandur.
According to information available with The Goan, a woman first noticed the feet at around 7 pm and informed local panch Francisco Po, who confirmed the incident and immediately notified the Agassaim police.
Sources informed that initially the two feet were intact but later they were found separated.
The police arrived at the spot and were conducting investigation into the matter to ascertain how the remains of the child reached the spot.
Some locals expressed the possibility of dogs having dragged the feet at the spot. They also expressed possibility of the feet belonging to a newborn baby which, however, could not be confirmed.
Agassaim PI Anant Gaonkar, Mandur Sarpanch Prashant Naik and others were present at the time of going to the press. Further investigations were underway.
