Though many directors and producers are enthusiastic to come to Goa for film shootings, they are not permitted to do so, as the State is still battling with the second wave of corona. “Film shootings may start in the State only after the government issues appropriate guidelines regarding it,” stated Subhash Faldesai, vice chairman, Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) while speaking to the media.
Currently, the government of Goa has already issued certain guidelines regarding corona and that’s the reason film shooting is not allowed in the State.
“Once the government withdraws these guidelines, then ESG will take a decision on what is to be done next,” said Faldesai.
He also briefed on the probability of organising the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and added that there has not been any decision taken in this regard as yet.
“If corona is controlled then Goa will have IFFI this year though, it is too early to speculate anything on this,” he said.
