Earlier, the government had received in-principal approval of Rs 50 crore from the Centre for the project. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone for the project.
“The meeting of the steering committee for the final approval of the master plan was held in Delhi which was attended by IT Director Ameya Abhyankar. Our eligibility has been increased and we have been sanctioned Rs 75 crore. Though we have not received the intimation, it has been recorded in the minutes of the meeting. We expect the written intimation in a week’s time,” said Parsekar.
