Fire brigade repairs dangerous gantry near Margao KTC stand

The gantry near the Margao KTC bus stand caused some anxious moments after local residents of Madel noticed a portion of the gantry hanging dangerously and posing a danger to motorists.

After receiving the information from local resident Milagres Fernandes, the Margao fire brigade rushed to the spot, only to find a portion of the gantry displaying traffic directions hanging precariously.

The fire brigade requisitioned a crane with a bucket and removed the damaged portion, giving relief to the local residents and motorists alike.

Milagres told the media that he noticed the portion hanging dangerously on the gantry and immediately called the fire brigade to fix the issue.

“The fire personnel quickly responded to my call and have fixed the problem. The damaged portion would have come crashing down on the motorists travelling on the road below,” Milagres added.
