Power Minister and BJP leader Nilesh Cabral has told first-time voters that they have to decide whether they should vote for a Prime Minister such as Narendra Modi who has delivered or someone who will take the country backward.

Interacting with first-time voters at the BJP office on Sunday, the Power Minister said Prime Minister Modi did not discriminate against Goa during his five-year tenure, saying the Prime Minister believed in the all round development of all the states.

“When we all met the Prime Minister and put forth the state’s infrastructural requirements, the Prime Minister did not say no though Goa was a small state. The foundation stone for the new Zuari bridge was laid by the previous government years ago, but the project did not materialize for want of funds. If work on the Zuari bridge has started, the credit goes to the Prime Minister,” he said.

Saying that Prime Minister Modi brought the country to the 13th position in the category of developed country. Cabral said a second five-year term for the Prime Minister will take the country forward creating employment opportunities for the youth, a situation when our educated youngsters need not go abroad for jobs.

“There would have been no brain drain had our rulers in the past conceptualized economic policies that would create employment opportunities,” Cabral said, adding that the Prime Minister certainly deserves another term to take the development forward.

He also unveiled the plan of action to streamline the functioning of the power department, offices of Sub Registrars, saying that his stress on on-line working is not to put the people to hardships, but to ensure transparency.
