PANAJI: The day began with the Eucharistic celebration by Fr Roque, Fr Andrew, Fr Richard, Fr Augusto, Fr Nirmaldo and Fr James.
The gathering was welcomed by the Director Fr Andrew Silveira. The programme began with a prayer dance and included choral singing, orchestrated music and dances. A skit entitled: ‘the Prodigal Son’ was also put up.
The chief guest was Joel Morias.
The individual and team winners of various competitions and games held during the year were awarded. Boris D’Costa was the recipient of the best boy of the year whereas Movil Almeida was awarded as the sportsman of the year. The vote of thanks was proposed by Bro Marcelino. The programme ended with all the boys singing the Niketan Anthem. A meal for the guests, parents and boys ended the celebrations.
