The victim returned home a few hours later, but Vasco police are likely to shift the victim to Apna Ghar amidst fears that she could be kidnapped from her residence.
According to reports, two persons - a male and a female- went to the victim's house at about 4.30 pm on Wednesday and claimed to be friends with one of the accused. The victim, who was also present in the house, began speaking to the duo in connection with the case. Finding their conversation suspicious, the victim's mother went inside to phone her husband. When she returned, she found that her daughter and the two visitors had left the house.
Fearing that their daughter could have been kidnapped, the parents rushed to the Vasco police station and reported the matter. According to sources, the two persons who had met the victim had allegedly tried to coax her to withdraw the case and later dropped her back to her residence.
The victim was later taken to the Vasco police station, where she was questioned in the presence of an NGO. Concerned that she could be kidnapped from her residence or threatened in connection with the case, Vasco police is expected to shift the victim to Apna Ghar. Vasco PI Nolasco Raposo is investigating the case.
