The Margao police have registered a case of attempt to murder against Mohammed Shaheed for brutally stabbing Pradeep Mane at the Gandhi market on Monday evening.
While Mane is battling for life at the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim, Mohammed is convalescing at the Hospicio hospital, Margao, for stab injuries.
Margao police informed that the incident took place after the duo, both labourers, came out of a bar after having drinks.
Arguments between the duo, who were in an inebriated state, reportedly took place when one of them asked for money.
The arguments soon turned into a scuffle and in a fit of anger the accused Mohammed is reported to have stabbed Mane with a knife.
