The Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) is considering a ‘shark tank’-like clone for the second edition of its ‘Goa Developers Summit’, where Goans with startup ideas can present them to investors and seek funding.
The proposal was discussed at the meeting of the GCCI’s committee on IT, ITES, and Electronics recently and unanimously accepted.
Milind Prabhu, who heads the committee, proposed inviting 15 startups for this ‘shark tank’ type session at the summit, where they can pitch their proposed ventures within a 90-second timeframe to a panel of prominent investors.
Apart from Prabhu, other members who attended the IT, ITES, and Electronics panel meeting included the GCCI Director-General Sanjay Amonkar, Abhishek Singh, Juned Khan, Shrikrishna Parab, and Gajanan Bakre.
The Goa Developers Summit (GDS) is tentatively proposed to be held in August as a full-day programme at the Kala Academy in Panaji.
