GEDC announces interest-free higher education loan for students

Goa Education Development Corporation (GEDC) has announced Interest-Free Education Loan (IFEL) Scheme for students pursuing higher education in India as well as abroad, for the academic year 2017-18.

Renewal as well as fresh application forms for the scheme would be made available from October 3 to December 20 at Goa Education Development Corporation office, SCERT Building, Porvorim.
The complete forms are required to be submitted to Goa Education Development Corporation on or before December 29 along with photocopies of all documents mentioned in the brochure.
No forms will be accepted after December 29.
In case the student is studying abroad, the power of attorney holder may fill the application form and submit the same.
However, for the academic year 2017-18, fresh and renewal forms of existing loans will not be
accepted online. The scheme is based on reimbursement pattern and fees will be reimbursed on submission of bonafide certificate and fee receipt.
