The meeting was also scheduled to discuss the resignation tendered by Goa Forward party chief Prabhakar Timble from the post of president.
Goa Forward party chief spokesman Prashant Naik told The Goan on Wednesday evening that the Executive Committee meeting scheduled on Wednesday could not be held since it was a working day and with most members preoccupied with their work.
He said the meeting will now be held later this month after consulting the members.
Naik confirmed that the Executive Committee was scheduled to deliberate and discuss on the GFP’s Legislative wing’s decision to support the BJP-led government. “The meeting was expected to take cognizance of the decision taken by the party’s Legislative wing and to formalise the decision,” he said.
, while saying the Legislative wing could not seek approval of the party organisation given the fast pace of developments after the declaration of election results.
