RTI activist Rajan Ghate on Wednesday entered Day 6 of his indefinite hunger strike at Azad Maidan.
Even though no one from the government visited Ghate during the six days of his hunger strike, Ghate informed that a government doctor had been sent to give him a check up. The doctor found that all was okay with Ghate.
Ghate, meanwhile, expressed happiness that Azad Maidan, which was littered with rubbish till Tuesday, had been cleaned up on Wednesday.
Responding to BJP president Vinay Tendulkar's claims that Ghate was associated with the Congress, Ghate asked, "Is there any rule that says I can't have a political affiliation?"
Ghate also said that Tendulkar was misinformed when he condemned Ghate giving the CM a 48-hour ultimatum to resign.
''I neither was a part of the march to the CM's house, nor did I give the CM any ultimatum to resign. All I want is that power be transferred over to anyone who is capable of handling the CM's portfolios," said Ghate.
