The State government has nominated Goa Konkani Akademi as the only competent authority for issuing the Konkani knowledge certificate for the purpose of Central government recruitment.
In a notification issued, Director of Official Languages, Prashant Shirodkar, has said that the government has not authorised any other agency other than Goa Konkani Akademi to issue certificates of “knowledge of Konkani”.
“Sanction of the Government is hereby conveyed to authorise ‘Goa Konkani Akademi’ established by the Government of Goa to be the competent authority for the purpose of issuance of a certificate of knowledge of Konkani to a candidate having a valid 15-year Residence Certificate issued by a Competent Authority,” the notification stated.
“The certificate will be valid for recruitment in the Central Government Offices/Courts,” it added.
