About 60 regular staff and 42 contract staff of Goa Meat Complex (GMC) are working without payment since the last three and six months, respectively.
Sources from GMC informed that this problem has become routine to the workers as administration fails to credit the salaries of the workers. "How do we work without payment for three and six months? They should pay us at least during the festival season," a worker from GMC told The Goan. "We don't understand why they fail to give us our salary. Why are they trying to create problem every time? The government should heed to our problem and resolve the issue, if any," he added.
