He pointed out that Municipal body have not implemented the settlements, including payment of grade pay & arrears; extension of MACP benefits; regularization of daily rated workers; regularization of two LDC staff; payment of OT from November 2015 and regularization of workers engaged under the harness scheme.
Shirodkar said the Chairperson and the Chief Officer, who are both responsible for the implementation of the settlements signed before the statutory authorities are either intentionally or deliberately showing disrespect to the law of the country and or politically neglecting to implement the settlements.
Saying that the MMC has not been prompt in crediting the salaries of the workers on due date and in some cases the salary is credited to the account of the workers on the 4th or 5th of a month, the Association has demanded that the mode of payment should be in currency notes only as the Civic body has been negligent in depositing the salaries to the respective accounts in the banks.
