The party stated that the mandate received from Goemkars vindicates the decision taken by Goa Forward Party and its leader Vijai Sardesai to form the Government for Goenkarponn led by Manohar Parrikar. While planning training programmes for guiding newly elected panchas, the party said it will ensure Goa is taken forward through grassroot democracy and clean administration at the Panchayat level.
Taking a dig at the Opposition, Goa Forward said its tall leaders vanquished and even some who contested for assembly elections have been defeated in the polls. It said that the opposition has to introspect and give up its directionless and thoughtless criticism of the present government which stands for Goem Goemkar and Goenkarponn and taking Goa Forward.
