HC quashes MOEF notification to move matters to Delhi

The High Court has quashed the notification of the Ministry of Environment and Forests transferring jurisdiction of Goa from NGT western bench at Pune to Principal Bench-Delhi. The notification had been challenged by 6 NGOs in Goa. The High Court too had taken suo moto cognizance of the issue.The notification, issued on 17 August 2017, ordered transfer of NGT matters of Goa, Dadra, and Nagar-Haveli to Delhi.
