MARGAO: The Goa School Management Association will hold its general body meeting on Sunday, October 18, at 4 pm at Smt Nelly Joildo Aguiar Higher Secondary School, Farmagudi, Ponda. Members will be briefed on the association’s re-registration. The meeting will also discuss and take decisions on member registration, Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) issues, the Balrath school bus scheme, the Pattern of Assistance and government policies on filling vacant posts in schools. Representatives of all secondary and higher secondary schools across Goa have been requested to attend.
Goan professor presents mercury research at international conference
PANAJI: Professor Manoj Borkar of Carmel College for Women presented his research on mercury bioaccumulation in the Lesser Goa Mustard Tarantula of the Western Ghats at the 17th International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant (ICMGP 2026), held at IIT Hyderabad from October 5 to 9.
