Panaji: The pass rate of the Class X Goa Board results stood at a commendable 92.4%, with girls once again outshining boys.
Of the 18,914 students who took the Goa Board exams, 17,473 students cleared it.
Of these, 91.8% of boys and 92.9% of girls passed the exams besides which 87.7 percent Divang (disabled) students also cleared the exams.
Exam results were also analyzed based on social categories. The pass rates were as follows: General Category - 91.67%, OBC - 94.66%, SC - 90.05%, and ST - 94.33%.
Canacona emerged as the top-performing taluka with a pass percentage of 95.02%. This was closely followed by Pernem at 94.25%, Bicholim at 93.3%, Bardez at 91.15%, Dharbandora 87.35%, Quepem at 90.09%, Mormugao 90.85%, Pernem 94.25%, Ponda 94.31%, Salcette at 93.82%, Sattari at 91.08% and Tiswadi at 91.58%. On the other hand, Sanguem recorded the lowest pass percentage at 69.60%.
