Sources in the Goa Police have informed that Kalangutkar, who runs a bar at Vagator, has in the past helped the Goa Police provide accurate tip-offs of happenings in the narcotics trade, based on which the police have been able to effect several raids and arrests concerning the drug trade in the state.
Details, however, remain sketchy, with the police remaining tight-lipped over his being an informant.
