It may be recalled that The Goan had highlighted that tension was witnessed at Dhulapi-Corlim after differences arose between the two groups over installation of a new idol of Goddess Sateri, on Sunday.
While members of one group were taking the new idol towards the temple, members of the other group stopped it midway and a large posse of policemen had to rush to the site to maintain law and order.
However, the idol continued to be kept out in the open.

The delegations of both the groups were then called and after reaching mutual understanding, it was decided that the idol would be kept secure in the mandap.
