The State government has launched a new and revamped portal, which can be accessed at www.goa.gov.in.
With this, 13 citizen-centric services of the Labour department are available online. Prominent among these are “ application for registration of establishments employing contract labour, application for registration of establishments employing migrant workmen, application for registration of establishments employing building workers, etc.
All these citizen-centric services are linked with the online payment gateway and SMS gateway to help people make payments in a non-cash way.
The website also has information about open government vacancies, where people can apply.
The government also informed that the new portal is mobile/tablet and disability complaint and has been developed using latest technology and features. The improved portal also enables people with visual impairments to access the portal.
It was also informed that the new portal has geo-tagging features for department locations and is also multi-lingual.
