The State BJP President, Sadanand Tanavade on Saturday said that the BJP-led government has handled the Covid-19 crisis well despite challenges posed by the pandemic in the State.
He also urged the BJP karyakartas to gear up for the ensuing zilla parishad and civic elections in the State.
“Our government has performed well in tackling the Covid-19 spread and much of the credit goes to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and health minister. The rising positive cases are a cause of concern and for that we all need to work together and support the government in tackling the disease. Our CM and many karyakartas have been infected but there’s nothing to worry,” Tanavade said.
The BJP President was speaking at the inauguration of the State BJP executive meeting in the North Goa BJP district office in Mapusa.
He further said the Opposition will continue to criticize the party because it’s their job, but the karyakartas should reach out in every corner of the State and spread the good work done by the party.
“Besides working to win the zilla parishad and civic elections, we have to keep working in our area so that we come back to power in 2022 assembly elections,” he said.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Deputy Chief Ministers “ Tourism Minister Manohar (Babu) Azgaonkar and TCP Minister Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar, Health Minister, Ports Minister Michael Lobo and senior executive members of the BJP from all over Goa were present.
