Dramapur-Sirlim Sarpanch Bernard Rebello and Panch member Domnick Norohna drew attention of the Pollution control board officials to the nuisance posed by the waste and the health hazard caused to the public in general.
The inspection has revealed that the slaughter waste is dumped in the culvert. The GSPCB officials have collected samples of the waste dumped in the water body for analysis.
Sarpanch Bernard told the officials that the GSPCB should make mandatory for houses to have an inbuilt mechanism to dispose
of waste.
