A Gulmohar tree fell on a parked Maruti Omni vehicle at Koparde in Sattari, causing damage estimated at around Rs 25,000. The front portion and other parts of the vehicle were severely damaged in the incident. However, the Valpoi Fire and Emergency Services promptly reached the spot and removed the fallen tree, successfully saving property worth nearly Rs 50,000.
According to available information, the incident occurred on Tuesday at around 10:05 a.m. on the Koparde road, where the Maruti Omni (registration number GA-01-J-1478) was parked along the roadside. The vehicle belongs to Mohammad Aga, a resident of Koparde-Sattari. The falling tree caused major damage to the vehicle.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Valpoi Fire and Emergency Services rushed to the spot. Senior Fire Fighter Sandeep Gaonkar along with Adam Khan, Dnyaneshwar Sawant and Aditya Gawas used cutters to remove the fallen tree from the vehicle.
