The Goa Headmasters’ Association’s (GHA) executive body is unanimously opposed to the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education’s (GBSHSE) move to allow students of Std IX who have failed in more than two subjects to answer a supplementary exam in June from next academic year.
The executive body of the GHA, which includes headmasters from all talukas, met on Wednesday and discussed the Board’s move to allow students of Std IX and XI to answer supplementary exams even if they fail in more than two subjects. All headmasters present at the meeting opposed the move of the Board, and will be meeting the Chairman of the Board Ramkrishna Samant and giving him a written representation stating the same, either today or tomorrow, president on the GHA Marian Valadares told “The Goan” after the meeting.
Valadares, and several other headmasters, had last week expressed their displeasure that the GBSHSE had not discussed the issue with any of the headmasters before
