Health camp for underprivileged children conducted in Canacona

The health camp for underprivileged children was conducted at Shri Mataji Mandir Vidhyarthi Vasatigruha, Canacona.

A general health check-up camp was organised for 62 underprivileged children at Shree Mataji Mandir Vidhyarthi Vasatigruha, Tembewada–Canacona, in support with the Directorate of Health Services.

A special medical team from Hospicio Hospital at Margao, and CHC Canacona conducted consultations in General Medicine, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Dentistry, and Counselling.

The students underwent detailed health screenings, including blood investigations, haemoglobin checks, and other basic tests. Among them, 18 students were referred to Hospicio Hospital for advanced ENT treatment. Free medicines were also distributed to the students.

The camp concluded after creating awareness about preventive healthcare and cleanliness while ensuring timely medical guidance for the students.

The consulting doctors were Dr Anusha Kholkar (Paediatrician), Dr Poonam Kamat (ENT Specialist), Dr Sonia Naik (Dermatologist), Dr Jarvis Barbosa (Ophthalmologist), Dr Sneha Naik (CHC Medical Officer), and Dr Sanill (Dentist).

The inaugural function was graced by former chairperson and Bhagatwada councillor Nitu Sameer Desai, in the presence of Dr Diwakarji Velip (CHC Ayurvedic Doctor, Sanitary Inspector Pranay Naik (CHC), Vasatigruha Pramukh Shrikant. The programme was organised under the aegis of Keshav Seva Sadhana.
