In virtual rally to mark PM’s b’day, CM hails Modi’s efforts to control Covid

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to control the Covid pandemic and expressed that the nation will emerge as a superpower after the end of the pandemic.

“When the whole world is suffering from Covid pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has effectively prepared infrastructure within a short span of time,” said Chief Minister Sawant while speaking in an online rally organised to mark the birthday of the Prime Minister.

A seva saptah was observed by the BJP from September 14 to 20 all over India as part of the 70th birthday celebration of the Prime Minister on September 17.

Plasma detection and blood donation camp, fruit distribution to the poor, donation to needy people, were organised by BJP workers.

While speaking further the Chief Minister appealed to people to follow all social distancing norms while stating that the government is providing free Covid care facilities to all.

Speaking about the Prime Minister’s vision to make India Atmanirbhar, Sawant appealed to Goans to work in the direction to make the State self-reliable.

Industrialist Shrinivas Dempo as a representative of society spoke on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s work in social, industrial and health sectors.

Dhempo said that due to the vision of PM Modi open defecation is controlled as the government built 9 crore toilets with the help of private donors. 

He said that the Modi government efforts for digital empowerment has benefitted common people to obtain optical connectivity and due to online government schemes necessity of the middle man has been finished.

Dempo said that terrorism is controlled due to bold decisions of the Prime Minister adding that government has been successful in maintaining friendly relationships with nations like America, France, Japan and Russia. 

Dempo said that due to steps of Modi post-Covid GDP of the nation will rise by 1-2 per cent.

Dempo said that the Modi government gave priority to health and effectively implemented Lockdown to lower down the effect of Covid. He said that people have supported Modi due to respect for him.

BJP State president Sadanand Shet Tanawade said that BJP workers have done tireless social service during the Lockdown of 68 days from March 25 to May 31.
