Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat on Sunday said the imposition of Section 144 questions the intent of government of holding Zilla Panchayat elections in the State.
"The government wants to hold ZP elections but at the same time it goes ahead and invokes Section 144. There is contradiction in the decision," Kamat said.
The Leader of the Oppsition has also requested the government to come out with a financial package for the vulnerable sections of the society, instead of spending monies on celebration of 60 years of Goa's Liberation.
