Jobs-for-cash: Margao court orders release of 2 accused women

The Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao on Friday ordered the release of the two women arrested in the jobs-for-cash scam on bail of Rs 50,000 with one surety.

The court directed the police to release Vishaya Vishnu Gawde and Soniya Achari, who arrested by the Margao Town Police Station under Section 420 read with Section 34 of IPC.

While releasing the duo on bail, JMFC Puja Sardesai has directed the two women to report to the investigating officer for a period of seven days from the next day of their release between 10.00 am to 01.00 pm and thereafter as and when directed by the investigating officer until filing of the final report.

They have been directed not to leave the State of Goa without giving prior intimation to the investigating officer and shall not leave the Country without seeking prior permission of the Court.

Further condition has been issued to the duo to furnish to the IO their detailed permanent address, local address supported with, self-attested copy of his passport, if any and contact numbers.

They have been told not to directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of this case so as to dissuade him/her from disclosing such facts to the Court or to any police officer or any other authority.

Amongst other conditions, they have been told not to tamper with the evidence in any manner and shall not commit an offence similar to the offence of which they are presently charged. The Court has further directed them to co-operate with the investigation.
