MAPUSA: Former Mapusa MLA late Francis D'Souza’s son and BJP candidate, Joshua D’Souza, kicked off his election campaign from Khorlim-Mapusa on Thursday.
D’Souza along with several BJP karyakartas and local councilors went from door to door meeting people from Ward 18 in Khorlim, Mapusa.
Handing over a personal appeal letter to the people, the BJP candidate has sought blessings and support of the voters to carry forward the good work of the BJP to serve the people of Mapusa and contribute to the development of Goa.
“I assure to work tirelessly towards fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of Mapshekars,” D’Souza said in his appeal.
The letter in the form of a handbill has photos of PM Narendra Modi and CM Pramod Sawant along with former Mapusa MLA late Francisco D’Souza and former chief minister late Manohar Parrikar.
The photo of Joshua D’Souza flanked by BJP President Vinay Tendulkar and North Goa MP Shripad Naik completes the picture plan on the handbill.
Paying tributes to his dad and former CM Manohar Parrikar, D’Souza said he would come back with a detailed manifesto outlining the vision of the BJP for the all-round development of Mapusa in creating state of the art infrastructure and modern amenities to improve the quality of life Mapsekars.
He also listed his brief bio-data and his association with BJP and his contribution as a councilor in the city.
