Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday slammed the BJP government in Goa for the collapse of the law and order situation citing the Pernem and Saligao murder cases.
"Murders, shooting, daylight robbery. What is happening in Goa? This is a total collapse of law & order in Goa under BJP," Kejriwal said in a tweet on micro-blogging site X.
"Just in the last few days a Goan opposing hill cutting gets murdered; citizens are shot at over illegal sand extraction; a youth is beaten inside a police station; people are killed in Saligao in a pool of blood. BJP has turned Goa into a lawless State," Kejriwal said.
Meanwhile, the BJP hit back at Kejriwal also via its official @BJP4Goa 'X' handle stating: "Stop talking about our State without knowing the facts."
"You ruined Delhi when you were in power. Now you're trying to destroy Punjab. Drugs are everywhere, crimes happen openly on the streets, corruption is growing, and mafia rule is getting stronger. Fix these problems."
