Karnataka Minister for Water Resources Govind Karjol has said the Karnataka government will not leave any attempt to secure its share of water resources nor will it part with even a single inch of its land to neighbouring states.

Karjol, who is also the Belagavi district incharge minister, was speaking to media persons at the circuit house here on Saturday morning.

“The government has initiated stringent measures to secure its entire share of water from Mhadei and Krishna basins by putting up honest efforts to resolve the argument with the neighbouring states.”

The minister also clarified that the Karnataka chief minister has given permission to celebrate Ganesh Festival for 11 days at the behest of the Hindu organisations.
