In a joint operation by Panaji and Sardarpura police teams, wanted criminal Pavan Solanki of Jodhpur, Rajasthan was arrested on Thursday. The 32-year-old, an active member of the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was hiding in Goa after committing a robbery in his home state.“He and his gang members looted an office of lakhs of rupees on March 4. They tied one Jesaram, a collection agent, assaulted him, and robbed the money from his office. He was absconding since then,” Superintendent of Police (North Goa) Nidhin Valsan told reporters. Solanki was soon taken to Rajasthan after the police obtained a transfer warrant from the local court.
Bishnoi came to limelight after he threatened actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan on several occasions, and has cases registered against him at various police stations.
