Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that liberty has been given to the Director of Education to take a call whether the teachers will conduct online classes by going to the schools or from home.
He also said that since the ban on recruitment has been lifted, examinations will be held from July to fill up the vacancies. He further said that vacancies which have been advertised will be filled up first, beginning with the examinations in July.
When asked whether teachers will be required to conduct the online classes from schools or home, the Chief Minister said that it is for the Director of Education to take a call in the matter.
“Independence has been given to the Education Director to decide on such matters. It depends on the facilities available in the schools. The teachers will also be required to prepare the results of the SSC and HSSC students. Whether they will work from home or school depends on the Education Director,” he said.
To a question, the Chief Minister said the BJP is gearing up for the 2022 election by holding programmes across the state. “Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there was not much interaction with the people. We have chalked out a program wherein Ministers and MLAs and other functionaries will participate as part of the preparedness programm,” he added.
To a question on the ongoing Tika Utsav, the Chief Minister termed the response to it as satisfactory.
