Leading Hotels Limited will work towards setting the ball rolling on its project as soon as possible in the wake of most of the serious litigation being behind it.

PANAJI: "Yes it is true that we have most of the clearances even though there are still some cases pending with the National Green Tribunal and other cases. Nevertheless there is no stay on the project as on date," P Ravi a company official said. "It has been quite a long waiting period the first preference will be to start the work on the experience centre," he added. The experience centre are the two villas the company had initial permission from the High Court to construct and will be used for marketing purposes. Ravi said the company would now begin a resurvey and after that apply for a construction licence.
Accepting the recommendations of the State Legal Services Authority, the government in a notification has decided increase advocates fees in various legal service committees in the State.

PANAJIThe new fees which reflect a steep hike from Rs 800 to Rs 10000 in some cases, shall be applicable to the advocates on the Panel of High Court Legal Services Committee, District Legal Services Authorities and Taluka Legal Services Committees.
