Uproar was witnessed at the Missing Link, Loutolim on late Wednesday night after local residents caught red-handed a pick-up van laden with waste.
Agitated local residents claimed that the van had come to dispose of the waste at the Missing Link. They later alerted the Maina-Curtorim police. The van was later taken to the police station as part of the investigations.
Local residents of Loutolim have been maintaining vigil at the Missing Link to stop unscrupulous elements from disposing of waste in the area. In fact, the residents had in the past caught a number of vehicles, including tankers offloading sewage waste in the area.
