The makeshift roof at a club in Morjim came crashing down on electricity wires by the side of the main road on Monday morning.
A fire brigade led by Assistant Fire Station Officer Prashant Dhargalkar and a team from the electricity department went to the site and later cleared the fallen wooden and plastic roof which was hanging over the power lines.
Traffic along the road was disrupted for some time, as the teams were in the process of clearing the fallen roof.
